The cleaning of interceptors and oil separators have to be scheduled and carried out on a periodical basis. The system itself is designed only to allow water to escape from it. All other pollutants such as; oils, fuels and other solid waste remains within the filtering system. We recommend servicing and emptying of interceptors on a 6 monthly basis which is the legal requirement.
